After the leopard seal attack, kayaking was actually pretty anti-climactic. We got out on the water for about 10 minutes before freezing water managed to work its way into the boat and from there up Rachel's pant legs. That, along with an ever-more-curious leopard seal, was enough to cut our kayaking short, but not before we got a few obligatory shots.

Ice Wand - We kept getting closer and closer to the icicles. We didn't realize Rob was taking us still closer and Rachel almost bumped her head. She did get a pretty souvenir though!

Ice Plates - Sections of ice flow (sea water that has frozen) which have been pressed up against each other till one overlapped. If these were continental plates there might have been an earth quake, but in this smaller case, it may just refreeze this way and we shall have a very odd ice flow.

A Rare Antarctic Rob - This is an amazing sighting of the very rare species of Antarctic Rob. Related to the New Zealand Kiwi, this red breasted creature will explore Antarctica with great zeal!
